Connect Asana
Index Asana project overviews and the task content of the projects you choose.
The Asana connector reads your workspaces, projects, and tasks with granular read-only scopes. It never creates or changes Asana data.
You need the workspace admin role in Orcha and access to the Asana workspace.
Add the connector
- Open Connectors and choose Asana.
- Approve Asana's consent screen; the request is read-only.
- Orcha catalogs your workspaces and projects. Each project is its own task scope with its own indexing policy.
Choose what gets indexed
Workspace project overviews are small and durable, so they are retained as
essentials by default. Task content follows a catalog-plus-live model per
project: task inventory is browsable, tasks under a retention rule are
indexed, and fresh search can query Asana live. Live search uses Asana's
workspace search on premium plans and falls back to typeahead on free
plans.
Use it
Indexed projects and tasks come back from search cited to the exact task, with a link into Asana, from the Orcha app, the REST API, and AI assistants connected over MCP.
Remove it
- Pause stops syncing while keeping indexed content searchable.
- Revoke invalidates Orcha's Asana credential and deactivates the source; indexed content is kept until you disconnect or reconnect.
- Disconnect purges indexed documents, search chunks, cached content, and sync state from your workspace.
- From Asana: remove Orcha under My settings, Apps. Then disconnect in Orcha to purge indexed content as well.
