Connect Asana

The Asana connector reads your workspaces, projects, and tasks. It uses granular read-only scopes. It does not create or change Asana data.

You must have the workspace admin role in Orcha. You must also have access to the Asana workspace.

Add the connector

1. Open Connectors.
2. Select Asana.
3. Approve the Asana consent screen. The request is read-only.

Orcha then catalogs your workspaces and projects. Each project is a separate task scope with its own indexing policy.

Choose what gets indexed

Workspace project overviews are small and change slowly. By default, Orcha keeps them as essentials.

Task content uses a catalog-plus-live model for each project:

• You can browse the task inventory.
• Orcha indexes the tasks that a retention rule selects.
• A fresh search can query Asana live.

On premium Asana plans, live search uses the Asana workspace search. On free Asana plans, live search uses typeahead.

Use it

Search returns indexed projects and tasks. Each result cites the exact task and has a link to Asana. You can search from the Orcha app, the REST API, and AI assistants that connect over MCP.

Remove it

• Pause stops the sync. You can still search the indexed content.
• Revoke cancels the Orcha credential for Asana and deactivates the source. Orcha keeps the indexed content until you disconnect or reconnect.
• Disconnect deletes the indexed documents, search chunks, cached content, and sync state from your workspace.
• From Asana: Remove Orcha under My settings, Apps. Then disconnect in Orcha to also delete the indexed content.
