Connect Microsoft 365

Index Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files from your OneDrive through read-only delegated OAuth.

The Microsoft 365 connector reads Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files from the authorizing user's OneDrive through Microsoft Graph. It requests delegated, read-only access: no SharePoint sites, no tenant-wide permissions, and no writes.

You need the workspace admin role in Orcha and a Microsoft account with OneDrive.

Add the connector

  1. Open Connectors and choose Microsoft 365.
  2. Approve Microsoft's consent screen; the request is limited to reading your files and profile.
  3. Orcha catalogs your OneDrive: folder hierarchy, file names, sizes, and revisions, without storing bodies.

Choose what gets indexed

OneDrive starts in Index names only mode. Set rules per folder to retain document content; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint bodies are extracted as text. Delta syncs follow Graph's change feed, so unchanged files are never re-downloaded, and files deleted in OneDrive leave the index on a later sync.

Use it

Indexed documents come back from search cited to the exact file and revision, with a link into OneDrive, from the Orcha app, the REST API, and AI assistants connected over MCP.

Remove it

  • Pause stops syncing while keeping indexed content searchable.
  • Revoke invalidates Orcha's Microsoft credential and deactivates the source; indexed content is kept until you disconnect or reconnect.
  • Disconnect purges indexed documents, search chunks, cached content, and sync state from your workspace.
  • From Microsoft: remove Orcha under your account's app permissions (or My Apps in a work account). Then disconnect in Orcha to purge indexed content as well.
