Connect Zoom

The Zoom connector brings your meetings into your Orcha workspace. It reads your cloud recordings, their transcripts, AI Companion meeting summaries, and My Notes, and it is strictly read-only: Orcha never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your Zoom account.

You need the workspace admin role in Orcha and a Zoom account. Transcripts require cloud recording with audio transcript enabled in Zoom; AI Companion summaries require a paid Zoom plan with meeting summaries enabled. Orcha sees only meetings you hosted.

Add the connector

1. Open Connectors in Orcha and choose Zoom.
2. Zoom shows its consent screen listing exactly what Orcha requests: your profile, your cloud recordings and meeting transcripts, your meeting summaries, and your My Notes, all read-only. Approve to connect.
3. The first sync builds a catalog of your cloud recordings from the last 30 days: topic, date, duration, and whether a transcript exists. No content is copied at this stage.

Choose what gets indexed

Zoom starts in Index names only mode: your meeting inventory is browsable and searchable as metadata, but no transcript is stored until you set a rule. Open Manage on the Zoom connection and set a policy, either for everything or per path (paths group meetings by date). Choosing Index all supported content retains meeting content under that rule.

A retained meeting becomes one document combining the recording transcript, the AI Companion summary when one exists, and My Notes attached to that meeting. Syncs run on a bounded daily provider budget, so a large backlog can take more than one day to finish; the Manage view shows calls used.

Use it

Indexed meetings come back from search like any other content, cited to the exact meeting with a link to the recording in Zoom:

Ask in the Orcha app, over the REST API, or from an AI assistant connected through MCP (Claude, Cursor, Codex, and others). Answers quote the meeting document and cite the meeting they came from.

Remove it

You control removal from either side, and both end in the same place:

• Pause (in Manage) stops syncing new meetings while keeping what is already indexed searchable.
• Revoke (in Manage) invalidates Orcha's Zoom credential with Zoom and stops all access. Indexed content is kept until you decide to disconnect or reconnect.
• Disconnect removes the connection and purges the indexed meeting documents, search chunks, cached content, and stored sync state from your workspace.
• From Zoom: removing Orcha in your Zoom account's Added Apps page notifies Orcha, which immediately destroys its stored credential and deactivates the Zoom sources. Disconnect in Orcha afterwards to purge the indexed content as well.

Data handling

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Meeting content is stored only under retention rules you set, and only for your workspace's retrieval. Zoom data is never shown to other tenants, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
