Connect Zoom

The Zoom connector adds your meetings to your Orcha workspace. It reads your cloud recordings, their transcripts, AI Companion meeting summaries, and My Notes. The connector is read-only. Orcha does not create, edit, or delete anything in your Zoom account.

You must have the workspace admin role in Orcha and a Zoom account. For transcripts, you must enable cloud recording with audio transcript in Zoom. For AI Companion summaries, you must have a paid Zoom plan with meeting summaries enabled. Orcha gets only the meetings that you hosted.

Add the connector

1. Open Connectors in Orcha and choose Zoom.
2. Zoom shows its consent screen. The screen lists exactly what Orcha requests. This is read-only access to your profile, cloud recordings, meeting transcripts, meeting summaries, and My Notes.
3. Approve the request to connect.
4. The first sync makes a catalog of your cloud recordings from the last 30 days. The catalog has the topic, date, duration, and if a transcript exists. Orcha does not copy content at this step.

Choose what gets indexed

Zoom starts in Index names only mode. You can browse and search your meeting inventory as metadata. Orcha stores no transcript until you set a rule. To set a rule, do these steps:

1. Open Manage on the Zoom connection.
2. Set a policy for all meetings or for each path. Paths put meetings into groups by date.

If you choose Index all supported content, Orcha keeps the meeting content under that rule.

Each kept meeting becomes one document. The document has the recording transcript, the AI Companion summary if one exists, and the My Notes for that meeting. Syncs use a limited daily provider budget. Thus a large backlog can take more than one day to complete. The Manage view shows the calls that Orcha used.

Use it

Search returns indexed meetings like all other content. Each result has a citation to the exact meeting, with a link to the recording in Zoom:

You can ask in the Orcha app, over the REST API, or from an AI assistant that connects through MCP (Claude, Cursor, Codex, and others). Answers quote the meeting document and cite the meeting.

Remove it

You can remove access from Orcha or from Zoom. Both paths give the same result:

• Pause (in Manage) stops the sync of new meetings. Content that Orcha indexed before stays searchable.
• Revoke (in Manage) makes the Orcha Zoom credential invalid with Zoom and stops all access. Orcha keeps the indexed content until you disconnect or reconnect.
• Disconnect removes the connection. It also deletes the indexed meeting documents, search chunks, cached content, and stored sync state from your workspace.
• From Zoom: remove Orcha on the Added Apps page of your Zoom account. Zoom sends a notification to Orcha. Orcha immediately deletes its stored credential and deactivates the Zoom sources. Then disconnect in Orcha to also delete the indexed content.

Data handling

Orcha encrypts OAuth tokens at rest. Orcha stores meeting content only under retention rules that you set, and only for retrieval in your workspace. Orcha does not show Zoom data to other tenants. Orcha does not use Zoom data for advertising or to train AI models.
